"I am Magma! I have come to rape your squirrels!"
"Oh, please Magma! stop my demon hair from eating my face!
Nobel Gundam after the years of booze took their toll. |
So what's that then?
Do I have to do this???
Yes.
Oh, good lord... Okay, here we go. (Details are hazy due to
brain melting halfway through this dire crud) Some boy (Lets just
call him Dullard) goes to a hotel for some reason I
have totally forgotten, and runs into a girl even
more docile than he is. Her father promptly explodes. He
takes the girl (Miki? Niki? Sod it.) home and in due time
her guardian comes to collect her. He promptly explodes too. Dullard
is distressed to learn these exploding people are really
demons sent from the evil lord Goa (or something) and the only
way to have them stopped is by Miki (last descendant of...some big good
guy called, er..."Earth".) throwing herself off a big building
and awakening probably the most ugly mecha in the world, Magma. Will
they save the day? Will good truimph over evil? Will someone let
me burn this tape now please?
We liked it because....
- Eventually, it ended.
- Miki, who is too annoying to live, came to this conclusion herself
in episode two and removed herself from the
plot by jumping off a building.
- Louise paid the rental fee.
- I suppose the animation quality was okay in a horrific 80s way,
but a turd is a turd, no matter if it moves
smoothly or not. And the art is UGLY.
But it was a shame about.....
- The story, the characters, the art, the music, THE
ATROCIOUS DUB VOICE ACTING.
-The fact the tape had to be returned to the
store and I couldn't destroy it.
-Theres a Mrs. Magma. does this mean ambassador Magma has a
sex life? Ewww...
- Louise claiming that it was "alright".
Best line:
"...and now Mikki is with the starrrrrs!"
No, she fell out of a window.
Umifuu awards:
Bizzarely Camp Mecha award goes to: Magma!
Triva, Trivia, Trivia
-Magma's Japanese Seiyuu plays Windum in Rayearth. More crap mechas
that nobody likes for him, then.
